Apprenticeship combines paid on-the-job training, related instruction, mentorship, and incremental wage increases. The first round
of apprentices will be placed primarily in Head Start programs within Coos, Curry, and Douglas Counties.

The Early Childhood Education Apprenticeship creates a true "earn and learn" pathway to employment for job seekers, who are interested in a career in Early Childhood Education.

693 hours of online training

Apprentices are responsible for completing online coursework on their own time.

3,072 hours

The term of the apprenticeship program is 3,072 hours of on-the-job, paid work experience. 

Little to No Cost 

College courses will be little to no cost to
apprentices through the use of scholarships and grants.
