The intent of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) is to improve and streamline access to federally funded employment, education, training, and supportive services. It directs the nation's one-stop delivery system to respond to the needs of business and to prepare individuals for new and future jobs. As required by WIOA, the SOWIB has developed a local strategic plan to achieve these goals in the Southwest Area of Oregon.
