The Southwestern Oregon Workforce Investment Board (SOWIB), serving Coos, Curry, and Douglas counties, is seeking public input on a proposed modification to its Four-Year Local Plan (2024–2028) for Adult, Dislocated Worker, and Youth programs under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014.

The draft plan modification will be available for review beginning April 24, 2026.
The Local Plan outlines operational and compliance strategies for services delivered in an integrated manner through WorkSource Oregon locations across Coos, Curry, and Douglas counties. Aligned with Oregon’s integrated workforce system, the plan reflects policy guidance from the SOWIB Board of Directors, the Governor, and the Oregon Workforce and Talent Development Board.
Developed in collaboration with WorkSource Oregon partners and informed by community input – including business, labor, economic development, and education partners – the modified plan is available at: www.sowib.org/public-comment
Public comments may be submitted via email to info@sowib.org. The comment period will remain open until 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time on May 24, 2026.
