Do You Work With or Need Traditional Health Workers?

SOWIB is exploring future opportunities to continue supporting and strengthening the Traditional Health Worker (THW) workforce across Coos, Curry, and Douglas counties. As we begin planning for potential upcoming opportunities through the Oregon Health Authority, we’re looking to gather input from the communities, organizations, employers, and individuals connected to this work.

We want to hear from everyone involved or interested in this work… including partners, employers, current and future Traditional Health Workers, training providers, healthcare organizations, community organizations, and community members.

If you are interested in:

  • Partnering on future efforts

  • Supporting or working alongside THWs

  • Offering training or resources

  • Training to become a THW

  • Expanding workforce opportunities

  • Identifying local needs or barriers

  • Sharing your perspective

…we’d love to hear from you.

Your input helps us better understand what is needed across our region and helps guide future workforce and community support efforts.
