Southwestern Oregon Workforce Investment Board (SOWIB) is pleased to share that the U.S. Department of Labor has awarded $224,994 to Oregon to support workers affected by the closure of the Roseburg Forest Products facility in Dillard, Oregon.

This funding, provided through a National Dislocated Worker Grant, will help workers access training, retraining, and employment services as they transition into new career opportunities in Douglas County.

Through this effort, SOWIB and our partners will connect impacted workers with services such as:

  • Career and employment support

  • Skills training and retraining opportunities

  • Resources to help individuals move into new careers

If you or someone you know was impacted by the closure and would like to learn more about available services, reach out to your local WorkSource Oregon center or connect with SOWIB for assistance.

Together, we are committed to supporting workers and strengthening our regional workforce.
